  • Los Angeles Datacentre for Server Business Replacement Program

    Recently our Los Angeles (US) datacentre has had several issues that extremely affect our service quality on dedicated server products.
    In the last few weeks, we suffered following matters that affect our service directly:
    A. Datacenter staffs responding extremely slow.
    B. Abuse complaints were lack of reasonable management.
    C. IP assignment management is rude sometimes.

    After careful consideration, we decided to stop offering Los Angeles dedicated servers until we move to a new datacenter.

    The new datacenter will remain located in Los Angeles. We will use new hardware architecture to rely less on datacenter technicians. If necessary, we will have our own technicians on duty 24 hours a day in the datacenter.

    Los Angeles dedicated server business will be continued in mid-January, 2012.

  • Server Phoenix Connecting Issue

    We found the server Phoenix ( UK data center ) cannot be connected currently. We’ve contacted the data center and waiting for their response.

    We are so sorry for any inconvenience. We’ll keep updating this post.

    [Update 4:58 4/3/2011] Server is back online. It is backup system caused this connecting issue. Our technical team are working on it.
    [Update 11:09 4/3/2011] Backup system caused server can not be connected again. Our technical team are working on it.
    [Update 15:33 4/3/2011] Server Phoenix has been back online. After contacting the datacenter, we got a respond said "We’ve replaced one of the servers raid disks as it had become degraded", but they do not know why this happened. Our technical team are working on it, trying to figure out the reason of the high I/O usage.

    [Update 16:03 4/4/2011] Backup software was broken by one disk failure of raid, we’ve switched back to using R1Soft CDP backup software on server Phoenix. As the issue make the server crash several times in the past 30 days, we have postponed 3 days for the influenced hosting accounts’ service time. We are going to deploy some new hardware monitor tools.

  • Server Phoenix Conneting Issue

    [16:56 Update] The server is back online. We are still waiting for the data center tell us the reason. They said “they are looking into this now”.

    [18:04 Update] There was an issue with the switch that the server was connected to, this has now been resolved.

  • VPS and Servers are Coming Soon

    VPS and dedicated servers are coming soon. We will launch XEN and Hyper-V virtual private servers and dedicated servers as customers wish. If everything goes on well, we will release them before Spring next year.

    Update ( Mar 22, 2011 )

    We’ll start to offer dedicated servers from April, 2011.

    VPS project has been changed. Hyper-V support has been cancelled. We will use a XEN only or XEN-KVM mixed architecture. It will be launch in 3 months. We’re trying our best to get everything ready at the ending of April.
